Richard Foa

Mixed Media & Wood

After a long career in clinical neurology, Richard Foa entered the world of woodworking and wood art by spending a year at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Hadlock, Washington. He’s since attended courses at the John Campbell School, Arrowmont, Tennessee Tech, and around the DC area to hone his woodturning and woodworking skills. His work has been shown in several juried exhibitions sponsored by the Maryland Federation of Art, Artful Dimensions Gallery of Fredericksburg, and the Chesapeake Woodturners. He continues to do restoration work on wooden boats at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
