Mara Mayor

Jewelry

Mara Mayor loves the color and texture of tiny beads, particularly the Japanese delica beads that permit both experimentation and precision. She weaves them into intricate necklaces that are comfortable and eye-catching. She finds inspiration in many places, from the windows of Frank Lloyd Wright to the designs of Venetian glass artisans. Her work has earned first place in both jewelry and beadwork at the Montgomery County Fair and has been shown at the shops at the National Museum of Women in the Arts and at the Strathmore Mansion.
