Janet Barnard is a fiber artist who has been  producing works  out of her studio in Rockville, Maryland for more than a decade . She is a weaver, dyer , silk painter and garment maker who is presently concentrating on silk painting and shibori.  She is a member of the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia, and Octette, a small, local group of fiber artists who show privately.
