Beverly Tadeu currently makes work comprised of two seemingly disparate themes.   The first, the Nature series, was born of another time and place, and it tells a personal narrative of a journey of the spirit.  The symbolism of organic shapes is intrinsic to this work.  The second group, the Abacus series, reflects a love of pure line and design.   There is a  playfulness in the contrasts of the rigidity of the geometric forms coupled with the dancing of the abacus beads.   Although the forms appear hard edged, the feel of the metal surface is soft and sensuous.
